We offer a choice of vanilla, chocolate, lemon, coffee or red velvet sponge. You can chose from white chocolate Swiss meringue buttercream, Nutella buttercream, lemon curd, jam, coffee buttercream or indulgent cream cheese frosting for between the layers

Meet Our Founder, Zainab

After moving to Birmingham 15 years ago and giving birth to my twins in 2009 I became a stay at home mum. I took on baking as a hobby, I taught myself everything and started making my children’s birthday cakes, cakes to take in to nursery and for my husbands work colleagues and then baking for friends and families events. I loved it.

Now 11 years later my 3 children have become more independent which has given me more time to myself to pursue my passion. I decided to take my love for baking to the next level. With the support of my family and friends I created Bakes By Zainab. With every cake I create I love what I do more and more and I am always learning new skills and researching new ideas and creations.

What is the price of a cake?

Many people wonder what makes up the price of a bespoke cake, well the answer is in the question; IT’S BESPOKE.

Every cake which I make is made to the customers requirement. The event and occasion is taken into consideration, time is spent researching different ideas and themes and discussing ideas with you, the customer. Each cake is unique.
I will never tell you that I know everything and know every design when it comes to cake art, I believe in total honesty. However I spend many hours watching tutorials, attending courses and perfecting my skills to present to you the most beautiful cake creation.
Designing and decorating a cake is a form
of art. It takes years to perfect this art. I will never hand over a cake to my customer unless I am 100% satisfied and happy with the end result.
I spend a great deal of time sourcing the finest quality ingredients for your cake. I only use fresh free range organic eggs, good quality English butter, supreme flour and Belgian luxury chocolate as well as many other high quality products.
With all these put together and the time I put into each and every cake this is why you only pay for the very best.
We hope our cakes will help to make your event as special as it can be.

This lady is a life saver. I collected my sons cake from another baker the day before his birthday, let’s just say I... couldn’t give this to my 9 year old without seeing his smile go away. I called 10 bakers in Birmingham and out of 10 this lady was the only one who replied. Can not recommend this lady enough. Very professional. Very easy to order, communication was very quick, after I sent... all the details of the cake she sent me an invoice which had secure payment included. I can’t recommend Bakes by Zainab enough. Every step of the ordering process was simple and easy. Zainab was Very easy... to communicate with also. We collected our cakes which were packaged and presented beautifully. Then we tasted them and WOW the cakes were full of flavour and very moist.
